 Ashley Self

As an Atlanta native, I have always felt privileged to be able to have exposure to the Cultural Arts in a very diverse and dynamic city. In addition, I have also been fortunate to attend some of Georgia’s best schools and universities.

Since my transfer to the University of North Georgia in the Spring of 2012, I have had an amazing experience as a studio art major. I have had the opportunity to be in the classroom under the administration of some of the best professors/artists in the university education system.

I was honored to receive the McClure-Scanlin award for outstanding portfolio review. I have also been so excited to be a part of the Spectrum Art Club and serve as the Graphic Design officer. As a multi-media artist, North Georgia University has enhanced my learning experiences and artist opportunities in a major way. I continue to grow as an artist and look forward to expanding my skills even further between today and my projected graduation in the fall of 2013.

I am so thankful for the opportunity and to all of those who make it possible, to receive an excellent education and follow my dreams to become a professional artist.
